As I prepped for the upcoming KZYX radio broadcast of “War of the Worlds” on October 30th, I got a call from a good friend about a “comet in the sky”. Shirtless, I ran out of the house and looked to the night sky, like a suspect in a COPS episode. Sure enough, there was a beautiful, white object with brilliant white plumes of vapor emitting from it like the legs of some strange octopus. Turns out it was a Space X rocket test at Vandenberg Air Force Base. I grabbed my camera and snapped off a few photos. Handheld, no tripod.
